A Full-Bodied Life
An in-depth self-study course and year-long community quest to explore living boldly and loving more freely and tenderly for a full-bodied life.
WITH HEATHER PLETT
What would change if we learned to live more fully and vibrantly in our own bodies? What if we connected more deeply with ourselves, each other, Mystery, and the earth? What if we embraced joy, even as we also come to terms with our own deaths?
Hi! I’m Heather Plett. I am on a quest to live a more full-bodied life and I want to take you along on the journey with me.

The world feels wobbly and destabilising these days.
We’re all feeling it.
So many things around us knock us off our centres daily, sometimes hourly.
We’re still grappling with what the pandemic did to us globally and continues to do. And then there are all of the other things – political divides, climate change, growing economic disparity, the disruption that AI (artificial intelligence) threatens to bring (especially to makers, artists, writers, etc.), ongoing racial oppression, cruelty to trans people – the list goes on and on.
How can we respond to the chaos we’re individually and collectively experiencing?
- We ground ourselves in the earth, like trees deeply rooted in the soil, reaching our branches toward the sun and celebrating our aliveness.
- We connect with our beautiful bodies (and stop believing the lies told about those bodies).
- We reach out and hold each other steady.
- We learn to trust ourselves so that we can do what’s right for the beloved community.
This is how we learn to hold space for the complexity of this world—
we strengthen the container of ourselves
so that we’re stable and less rigid in the face of it all.
My Personal Journey from Fear to Love
My Personal Journey from Fear to Love
Instead of succumbing to fear, I’m choosing again and again, to ground myself in love, joy, hope, tenderness, and connection.
The world may feel scary, sometimes making me want to build walls around my heart, but I’m committed to tenderness and choose to:
- Live a deeply connected, deeply embodied life. Be in awe.
- Experience joy.
- Find my wildness.
- Be exceedingly tender with myself and those I love.
- Keep my body well nourished.
- Surround myself with people I treasure.
I want to live expansively and live boldly.
The first part of my quest involved a lot of solitude (especially as I was completing my upcoming book, Where Tenderness Lives: on healing, liberation and holding space for oneself, and now I’m ready to invite people to join me virtually for the continuation of this journey.

All are welcome. The broader the diversity and age range,
the richer the community.
Whether you are a twenty-five-year-old who feels itchy about the cultural norms and expectations placed on your future, or a sixty-five-year-old who is waking up to new desires and curiosity, I hope you find yourself drawn to join the Full-Bodied Life community. ALL genders are welcome and we’ll do our best to make this an inclusive and welcoming community.
Together we’ll explore how to become more liminal, live more boldly, love in and with our bodies, befriend death & rebirth ourselves.
An invitation for you to join me on the Full-Bodied Life Quest.

About the Year-long Community Quest
I invite you to sign up for the year-long community quest. Together, we’ll create a community space where fellow travellers can gather to collectively explore what it means to live full-bodied lives.
This will not be an intense, “do a lot of work to learn a lot of things” exploration – it will be gentle and spacious, allowing you to go deep with your own quest (prompted by the lessons) while having other companions available for conversation.
Our Community Gatherings
These will not be highly scripted calls and they won’t be about teaching new material. Instead, you’ll have conversations with other like-hearted people from around the world about what we’re all doing to live more full-bodied, connected lives.
Conversation themes won’t follow the lessons in a linear pattern, but will be generated by whatever is alive in the people who gather for each call.
NOTE: As I continue to travel and teach in-person, there will be times when the calls will be hosted by a member of our teaching team.

“The words to describe Heather and what she offers simply don’t exist. Words are based off what we already know – Heather offers insight into that which we have yet to discover. Brilliantly honest, she speaks not only to the practical, but to the soul longing to be understood, to be heard.”

This course and community are meant for you, if you:
Lack a connection with your own body
Feel unworthy
Are seeking greater vibrancy, joy, tenderness, and self-love
Are ready to release shame about your body
Experience loneliness and too little connection
Have sacrificed too much of your life for other people
Want to free yourself from the burden of other people’s expectations and opinions
Seek healthier boundaries in your relationships
Experience anxiety about the state of the world and don’t know how to hold space for that fear
Are seeking ways to ground yourself more in nature
Long for greater peace of mind
You’re welcome whether you’ve ever taken a course with the Centre for Holding Space or not. It’s all new material, and the conversations will be different than before, so even those who’ve taken our eight-month Foundation Program will find something new for them.

- There will be calls every two weeks, on Tuesdays, alternating between morning and evening (our time – in Canada).
- First call: 10:00 am CDT (9:00 am CST) – 3:00 pm GMT
- Second call: 7:00 pm CDT (6:00 pm CST) – 12:00 am GMT next day.
- If both times work for you, you’re welcome to join both. (Note: Since less than 40% of the countries in the world switch with daylight savings time, we have chosen not to switch but to stay consistent with GMT.)

Can I attend all morning calls and evening calls or do I need to stick to one or the other?
Note: Since less than 40% of the countries in the world switch with daylight savings time, we have chosen not to switch but to stay consistent with GMT.
What will the calls be like?
- Calls will be hosted by Heather Plett (and our teaching team) using practices rooted in The Circle Way and The Art of Hosting.
- Calls will be emergent, which means that our conversations will centre around whatever community members bring to the circle.
- We will have breakout rooms during every call, so that you’ll have opportunity for more intimate conversations with other participants from around the world.
- During most calls, we’ll use a process called Open Space, where participants will suggest the topics they want to talk about and breakout rooms will be created based on those topics.
How will I be supported in the community, especially if I am from a marginalized population?
- We hold an anti-oppression framework at our core and we commit to honouring the intersectional voices of those who are most frequently marginalized in the dominant culture. (Read our Inclusion Statement and Values here.)
- Our intention is to nurture a strong and supportive community where your personal stories are held in confidentiality and your identity is honoured.
- We do our best to make our materials accessible (i.e. all lessons are available in PDF and audio recordings) and will try to work with you to meet other accessibility needs.
- We invite an ongoing conversation about how we can support our community members and will be responsive to any concerns you raise.
