A Full-Bodied Life

LIVE BOLDLY AND LIVE MORE FREELY

What would change if we learned to live more fully and vibrantly in our own bodies? What if we connected more deeply with ourselves, each other, Mystery, and the earth? What if we embraced joy, even as we also come to terms with our own deaths?

Hi! I’m Heather Plett. I am on a quest to live a more full-bodied life and I want to take you along on the journey with me.

The world feels wobbly and destabilising these days.

We’re all feeling it.
So many things around us knock us off our centres daily, sometimes hourly.

We’re still grappling with what the pandemic did to us globally and continues to do. And then there are all of the other things – political divides, climate change, growing economic disparity, the disruption that AI (artificial intelligence) threatens to bring (especially to makers, artists, writers, etc.), ongoing racial oppression, cruelty to trans people – the list goes on and on.

How can we respond to the chaos we’re individually and collectively experiencing?

  • We ground ourselves in the earth, like trees deeply rooted in the soil, reaching our branches toward the sun and celebrating our aliveness.
  • We connect with our beautiful bodies (and stop believing the lies told about those bodies).
  • We reach out and hold each other steady.
  • We learn to trust ourselves so that we can do what’s right for the beloved community.

This is how we learn to hold space for the complexity of this world—
we strengthen the container of ourselves
so that we’re stable and less rigid in the face of it all.

My Personal Journey from Fear to Love

Instead of succumbing to fear, I’m choosing again and again, to ground myself in love, joy, hope, tenderness, and connection.

The world may feel scary, sometimes making me want to build walls around my heart, but I’m committed to tenderness and choose to:

  • Live a deeply connected, deeply embodied life. Be in awe.
  • Experience joy.
  • Find my wildness.
  • Be exceedingly tender with myself and those I love.
  • Keep my body well nourished.
  • Surround myself with people I treasure.

I want to live expansively and live boldly.

The first part of my quest involved a lot of solitude (especially as I was completing my upcoming book, Where Tenderness Lives: on healing, liberation and holding space for oneself, and now I’m ready to invite people to join me for the continuation of this journey.

“The words to describe Heather and what she offers simply don’t exist. Words are based off what we already know – Heather offers insight into that which we have yet to discover. Brilliantly honest, she speaks not only to the practical, but to the soul longing to be understood, to be heard.”
