Two transformational books by Heather Plett
to illuminate the path and deepen the practice
of holding space for yourself and others

These two books are companion pieces, each offering something unique in our collective understanding of what it means
to hold space.

3-Art of HS Book
In her first book, The Art of Holding Space: A Practice of Love, Liberation, and Leadership, Heather started with a more broad view of what it means to hold space for other people and for ourselves. It’s a practical guide full of tools, resources, and stories that support a deepening understanding of the practice of holding space.

In her second book, Where Tenderness Lives: On Healing, Liberation and Holding Space for Oneself (which comes out on January 23, 2024), Heather takes a more close-in view, focusing her lens on what she’s learned about holding space for herself as she’s been on a years-long journey toward healing and liberation.

Weaving back and forth, she zooms in for a tight view and then zooms out to offer a systemic lens through which to understand the stories she’s shared. While more deeply personal and vulnerable than her first book, this second book will still offer readers wisdom that can be applied to their own lives.

In both books, Heather’s characteristic style of deep, honest and
unflinching exploration shines through as she offers
companionship and guidance for all those who long for
greater connection with themselves and others.

Understanding myself more and allowing me to feel the full spectrum of emotions when I had previously not been able to do so. My eyes are opened to see more emotions of the other person and expanded my ability to just hold space or be with the person even without saying anything. I feel more empowered and able to speak up more and stand up for myself more.
